Kyle Witte and Adam Grahn represent Lemberg at milestone year for NECA Innovation Institute

Innovation has long been part of how Lemberg Electric approaches its work, from adopting new technologies and processes to investing in the people who will help move the electrical construction industry forward.

That commitment will be on display at the 2026 NECA Convention, taking place Oct. 4–7 in Las Vegas, where Lemberg President Kyle Witte and Project Manager Adam Grahn will join electrical construction professionals from across the country.

Their participation also marks a unique milestone for Lemberg. Witte was selected for the inaugural "Edison" cohort of the NECA Innovation Institute in 2021, while Grahn was selected for the program’s 10th cohort in 2026, dubbed "Steinmetz." This year’s convention will recognize all 10 Innovation Institute cohorts, bringing together leaders who have participated in the program since its inception.

Designed for forward-thinking leaders in the electrical construction industry, the Innovation Institute provides participants with opportunities to explore new ideas, develop leadership skills and bring innovative thinking back to their organizations.

For Grahn, participation in the 10th cohort builds on a career at Lemberg focused on collaboration, problem-solving and continuous improvement. His experience also continues a path Witte began five years earlier as a member of the Edison cohort.

“Being part of the Steinmetz group is already widening my perspective,” Grahn said. “Hearing about how others approach challenges really adds context around how we might approach similar challenges at Lemberg. It’s amazing to know that this group of leaders will always be part of my network.”

Taking the Innovation Conversation to the NECA Stage

Witte will also contribute to this year’s convention as a guest on NECA’s Innovation Overload podcast, recording live from the Innovation Zone on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

The episode, “BIM to Built – From Basics to Best-in-Class,” will explore the evolution of building information modeling (BIM) and how contractors can move beyond basic adoption to integrate BIM more effectively into their operations.

"Participating in national peer groups, putting yourself out there, sharing your ideas and, more importantly, listening and learning from those peers has been an important part of Lemberg's innovation,” Witt said. “While we bring a lot to those conversations, our NECA network is an invaluable resource for learning, collaborating and gaining actionable objectives."

Following the convention, the episode will be available through NECA as well as Innovation Overload platforms including Buzzsprout, Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

Bringing New Ideas Back to Lemberg

For Lemberg, participation in organizations like NECA and programs such as the Innovation Institute is about more than attending industry events. It provides opportunities for employees to learn from peers, exchange ideas and bring new perspectives back to their teams, projects and customers.

Having Lemberg leaders represented in both the inaugural and 10th Innovation Institute cohorts reflects the company’s continued emphasis on developing its people while exploring new technologies, processes and approaches to electrical construction.

As Witte and Grahn head to Las Vegas, they’ll have an opportunity not only to represent Lemberg but also to connect with other industry leaders and bring new ideas home—continuing a conversation about innovation that has been underway at Lemberg for years.
