Lemberg Electric was recently featured on the front page of The Journal Times for its role in supporting local workforce development through the Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce (RAMAC) Youth Apprenticeship Program.

The article—titled “So Much to Learn”— highlights Alfredo Gonzalez, a Park High School graduate and the company’s first youth apprentice, who worked on the Red Apple STEAM School construction project. Gonzalez received high praise from both field managers and company leadership for his strong work ethic and positive attitude.

“Everybody loves him,” said Lemberg Project Manager Dave Schmitz in the article, who added that Gonzales has been doing “phenomenal” work.

Gonzalez has since joined Lemberg full-time as a construction wireman and hopes to become a journeyman electrician.

Lemberg’s participation in the program reflects its ongoing commitment to investing in the next generation of skilled trades professionals. As Lemberg President Kyle Witte noted in the article, “You’ve got to keep getting that interest in the trades… hopefully they pick our trade, but even if not, we’re helping construction as a whole.”

The full article appeared in the July 26, 2025, print edition of The Journal Times and is part of a broader effort to spotlight successful youth apprenticeships across the region.
