November 13 event celebrates the talent, leadership and contributions of women across southeastern Wisconsin's construction industry

Lemberg Electric Project Manager Emily Klement will participate in the upcoming Women in Construction Showcase, an event celebrating the achievements, leadership and growing influence of women in the construction trades.

The event, themed "Celebrating an Evolving Future," will take place Friday, November 13, 2026, at Milwaukee Tool, 551 N. 5th St. in Milwaukee. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., with festivities scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m.

Klement was invited to participate by Dajen Bohacek, executive vice president of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) Milwaukee Chapter. And she will join other local tradeswomen in a fashion showcase highlighting women's workwear and personal protective equipment (PPE), demonstrating the importance of equipment designed to meet the needs of women working in construction.

"I'm proud of the path I've built in electrical construction, but I'm even more excited about the women who will come after me," said Klement. "I want to encourage them, celebrate them, and remind them that they belong. If I can make the path a little easier for the next woman, then I've made a difference."

Klement joined Lemberg in 2022, bringing more than a decade of electrical industry project management experience. Throughout her career, she has managed projects across a variety of sectors, including commercial, healthcare, education, industrial and residential construction. Her experience includes work for organizations such as Milwaukee Tool, Froedtert Hospitals, Concordia University and GE.

With specialized training in project management, Klement brings strong communication and organizational skills to projects of all sizes. She places particular importance on building relationships and delivering quality results for customers, colleagues and the communities Lemberg serves. In 2025, Klement was named one of Biz Times Media's Notable Women in Construction, Design and Engineering.

Now in its second year, the Women in Construction Showcase brings together tradeswomen, industry professionals and allies from across southeastern Wisconsin for an evening of networking, education and celebration. Hosted by Milwaukee Tool and supported by Greater Milwaukee's union construction industry, the event aims to foster connections, encourage peer support and challenge stereotypes while highlighting the innovation and leadership women bring to the trades.

Attendees will have opportunities to connect with industry leaders, learn about resources available to women in construction and celebrate local tradeswomen as they showcase workwear and PPE. The evening will also feature refreshments and networking.

The event is open to everyone in the construction industry, and registration is required. To learn more or register, visit empowherwi.org/women-in-construction-showcase.
