In 1992, the Lemberg family sold the company to its employees under the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). In 1998, the ESOP trust became the 100% shareholder of the company.
Lemberg’s ESOP is a retirement plan set up by Lemberg and invested primarily in company stock. The ESOP provides qualified employees “beneficial ownership,” which enables vested employees to share in the rewards of the company’s success at no cost.
