Schleisingerville to Slinger Historical Museum

Lemberg Signs and Lighting team designed and installed signage for the Schleisingerville to Slinger Historical Museum in Slinger, Wisconsin. Lemberg designer and art director Eric Bailey worked with the museum president Tom Lehn, who is also Lemberg Signs' Operations Manager, and his museum curator to create and install the new sign.

The museum's existing brand (designed by Lehn) was a starting point for the monument sign that utilized a refurbished electronic message center display unit, donated by EH Wolf.  Lehn secured reclaimed cream city brick for the base. The vintage brick was originally made in a now-closed cream city brick yard based in Slinger. Additional scroll work mimics historic signs and gold leaf detailing gives a nod to Lehn's background as a local firefighter. The result is an eye-catching design that not only supports the brand but also allows the museum operations team to conveniently communicate with the community. According to Lehn, the sign has increased their foot traffic, donations and volunteerism since its installation.

This sign won First Place in the EMC category at the 2023 Wisconsin Sign Association's Sign Design Awards. Learn more about the museum from a recent local news CBS 58's Sunday Morning Spotlight (October 1, 2023).
