Veit & Company, Inc.
Lemberg provided the electrical construction, data communications, fire alarm, and signage for this new 37,184 sf construction in New Berlin, Wisconsin. This location serves as home to Veit & Company, Inc., a specialty contracting and waste management company. Though the project was originally delivered via plan/spec, Lemberg offered mid-project design-build services as needed throughout the timeline.
Most of the electrical piping and homeruns for the building were installed prior to the stud framing and drywall installation, resulting in a clean and contained end product. During the installation, extra measures were taken to keep as much material as possible off the ground in order to enhance the safety of the jobsite. The team installed standard fire alarm and lighting as well as nLight lighting controls, and power for specialized equipment in the repair shop and wash bays.
Lemberg's preconstruction department provided virtual design and construction services to uncover a wide array of offsite and onsite prefabrication opportunities. Offsite assemblies such as underground racks and conduit "stub ups," wall boxes, data stubs, overhead lighting conduit, pole light boxes, and device pigtails were delivered on demand, helping to keep the jobsite less cluttered and safer.
The project timeline was challenged by weather and by road construction and closures, which created delays for various trades and difficulties for materials deliveries. Despite these challenges, Lemberg delivered the project on time and within budget. Good and frequent communications between all key stakeholders were critical.
Lemberg's Data Communications team provided low voltage cabling and building security, including card access, security cameras and alarm systems, as well as a cellular enhancement system.
To brand the new building, Lemberg's Signs and Lighting team created custom illuminated steel letters to fit upon unique vertical beam structures at the roadside and at the front entrance of the building as well as on a unique wall treatment in the interior reception area.
