Village Park - Menomonee Falls

Lemberg Signs and Lighting created and installed the signage for the upgraded facilities at Village Park in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. The park, which has been being improved in phases since 2020, touts a 12,000+ square foot accessible play area, a splash pad, a combination pickleball and tennis court. Also included area shade structures, trails and reservable picnic areas.

The improvements are supported by community donors which are recognized on monument signage created and installed by Lemberg Signs and Lighting. This sign is personalized with donor names and features a cut out of children and a tree, a symbol that came from the main sponsor's logo.

Previous improvements to the park included designated outdoor plaza/market space, a performance amphitheater, a restroom facility, and ADA accessibility features. Lemberg created and installed multiple signs identifying areas of the park and donors. These include the main Village Park arched welcome sign, the splash pad signage, the pavilion signage, more donor signage, and the main park welcome sign that has an integrated digital display unit for easy remote messaging. Some of the designs were inspired by the park elements themselves, such as the archway, which matches the arc of the dome on top of the play gym. A holistic approach to the family of signs as well as special care were taken to ensure the integrity of the structures that supported the signs as well as the integration of the signs into the spaces.

This project won First Place in the 2023 Wisconsin Sign Association Sign Design Contest, Directional/Wayfinding/ADA Category.
