Red Apple Elementary School

This project was the construction of a brand new high-tech, three-section K-8 STEaM school with over 121,000 square feet of dedicated learning space as well as collaboration spaces, an atrium and rooftop garden. The design of the building features a colorful, creative interior flooded with natural light. The building's structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are displayed throughout the building, placing an emphasis on craftsmanship and turning the building itself into a tool for introducing students to the different technical trades.

Lemberg provided the electrical construction and power distribution and backup generator, lighting, and wiring for fire alarm/fire suppression, kitchen vapor and defrost system.

The Data Communications team provided the low voltage infrastructure to consist of a fiber network backbone and  Cat 6 cables for data and cameras, Cat6A for access points and Composite cabling for access control. Lemberg also provided the speakers and intercom/clocks.

This project features the work of Racine Area student Alfredo Gonzalez, Lemberg's 2024-25 youth apprentice through the Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship Program facilitated by the Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce Chamber. Alfredo went on to work full-time with Lemberg.

The work was completed in spring of 2026.
