Anniversary Memory: Culture Creates a Milestone of Memories

June 28, 2018

A lot has changed since June 2003. Looking around Lemberg’s office, you’d likely recognize some faces from that year – one of which is celebrating an anniversary this month.

June 2018 marks Melissa Glenz’ fifteenth year as a part of the Lemberg family. Melissa’s anniversary also complements Lemberg's 90th. Fifteen years ago, this month, the company was celebrating its 75th year of excellence.

Since then, Lemberg, and Melissa, have come a long way. She began her career with Lemberg as the Accounting Assistant and has progressed her way to Assistant Controller and Office Manager.

In June 2003, Lemberg’s workforce accrued 50% more hours than the year prior and the safety program advanced, which resulted in 25% fewer accidents, (The Lemberg Times, 2003). An exciting year was sure to be filled with more work for the office folks, too.

Melissa was excited to be welcomed into a company with such motivation to develop and push forward, all while maintaining its integrity to sustain a family-like workplace. The same holds true today.

Fifteen Years Come and Gone

So, what makes someone stay with a company this long?

“The people that I work with,” she said. “With this type of culture and team-driven environment, it’s hard to say what I don’t like. Lemberg is just a really great company to work for.”

Not very many can say that they truly love what they do and who they work with. This milestone further validates that for Melissa. She also enjoys her workload and the fact that she has always kept busy in any role within the company.

“I am very content,” Melissa tells us. “I am also very fortunate to say that I am excited to come to work every day. It’s just hard to believe that I’ve been coming to Lemberg for fifteen years. Time sure does fly.”

Fifteen years may have come and gone, but Melissa values each one and has a feeling that she will stay a part of the Lemberg family for many more to come.
