East West Bus Rapid Transit

Lemberg's Signs and Lighting team was the chosen partner in providing 32 new bus stop monument signs along the route of the new East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The route is Milwaukee County's 9-mile route that connects the city's major employment centers with other service areas such as education and recreation in the downtown Milwaukee area.

The route connects downtown business district with Milwaukee's Near West Side, Marquette University, and Wauwatosa communities. It also provides direct access to the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center. These routes are traditionally some of the most travelled corridors in the area. The hope is that the transit system will help alleviate the congestion. The route runs from Wisconsin Avenue and Van Buren Avenue on the east to Swan Boulevard in Wauwatosa at the Watertown Plank Park and Ride site. According to eastwestbrtmke.com, the route,  which uses battery electric buses, has 17 connecting stations and serves employees, students, residents and tourists with service every 10 minutes during peak hours beginning in 2023.
